Modifiers and Collections

Hello Questers!

The night club is busy. Lights flashing, music pulsing, bodies moving to the siren’s song. The man sitting in the booth is mysterious as he, like you, is not listening to the Siren spin the decks. He straightens his tie, ruffles his wings and stands up to greet you. What do you do?

Cutting straight to it: Modifiers and Collections are here! Well, in Beta at least!

You might have noticed that we stealth launched two more widgets last week: Modifiers and Collections.

Modifiers give you the ability to reference other numbers within Roll Buttons (and other Modifiers even) that might change from time to time. Like with a level up for example.

Collections is a great way to organize stats and roll buttons within a purpose made table. We’ve been using them in our playtesting games for ability tables and attack rolls!

You can access both of these through the Floating Menu in Notes and Universal Character Sheets, or by typing /m for Modifier and /c for Collections.

We’re releasing them in their Beta/Testing state, at least for now, for two reasons:

1. We would love to hear your feedback on Modifiers and Collections. What we could improve, How you might upgrade the existing Templates, Use Cases… We’re improving them this week (and will be for a little bit) and your feedback is really appreciated and crucial to making something amazing.
2. We’re excited about what we’ve done and want to start updating the existing Templates.

In other news, last week and this week is a return to Bug Hunt Part Two, where the Dev team have been fixing and hardening the web and mobile app. Also, next week there won’t be an update as I am on vacation for a week! But I’ll be back the following week with hopefully great news on Modifier and Collections updates.
