AI Assistant

Our subscription offers Pro users access to our AI Assistant. Use the Assistant to help you find answers to rules, summarize lore, help you create characters, or build your world.

The Quest Portal Assistant is an intelligent chatbot that can help you quickly draft ideas, encounters, backstories and place descriptions. Additionally, the AI Assistant can answer questions about the rules of a supported Game System.

When a Campaign is configured to use a specific roleplaying system, the campaign Assistant will use the resources available from that system to answer with the knowledge about that particular TTRPG, giving results about rules from the system you're playing, and not a generic answer.

When out of a Campaign, the AI Assistant can be accessed through the navigation ribbon on the left and selecting the stars. From here you can easily switch between all threads created on the web app, or ask our Quest Portal Global assistant about generic TTRPG topics, or get help on how to use Quest Portal.

In session, the Assistant can be accessed through the navigation ribbon on the right. This Assistant will pull data about the system that the session campaign you are in has been set to.

The AI Assistant has access to the sources in your Library. These are SRDs and other books containing the rules for game systems. When you ask a about a rule the Assistant will perform a search within the sources, retrieve the top results, and construct an answer to the question based on those results.

In addition to asking about rules, the AI Assistant can answer other questions about a system such a the settings lore. These answers will be pulled from the library sources it has access to. This pairs exceptionally well with AI Assistant in Notes

The AI Assistant is very capable in creative tasks. If you ask them to create an NPC they can give a thoughtful answer that takes into account the game system you are playing and the campaign description.
