GM looks at his table of notes, creating new worlds from chaos

Creativity comes in many forms

Hello Questers!

The dumpster in the alley shakes on its wheels as a purple and blue vine snakes its way from underneath and rises high above your heroes ready to strike. What do you do?

Friday, we went to the Icelandic Web Awards for 2024 (Íslensku vefverðlaunin 2024) - and we won! We won best small company website - such a testament to the hard work of the smarty pants Devs and Designers here at Quest Portal. It was awesome. We met so many creative and productive folks in the tech industry in Iceland too.

Marketplace update: we launched our first indie creators!

  • Kill the D20 puts forward Journey from Oblegaard as the first in a series of one shots for D&D enthusiasts - if you’re a last minute prepper, then Kill the D20 has you!
  • If you’re in the mood for a full campaign, check out DND Outcast’s first foray into publishing. They came out swinging hard with The Ancient Trails of Nazaroth.

Plus, we also added books from newer partners, Pelgrane Press and Goodman Games!

I want to stay on the creators path, as I point you to the awesome Dice Stormers on Youtube. I have watched these folks for years, and I am stoked that they agreed to play a game of Call of Cthulhu on Quest Portal. If you want to watch their current series, Rebirth Island, then I recommend starting with session 0, but you can comfortably jump into the story from session 1! As you would expect from a Call of Cthulhu game, things get dark, made even darker by the real world subject matter. It’s a great story they’re telling, lovely chaps and I highly recommend it.

Happy Adventures
