Hello Questers

The falling snow is a sharp contract to the darkness creeping in. The cold bites through every crack in the building and only the crackling of the fireplace is of any comfort. There is a knock at the door. Once. Twice. Three times. What do you do?

It has been a little while since we last updated you on all things Quest Portal - partly because of vacation, and partly because of sickness. But despite my absence, the team has been absolutely blowing it out of the water when it comes to delivering! To keep it short and sweet, here’s a round up of what the team have been up to!

Avatar Generation Updated

We recently moved our image generator to use Stable Diffusion 3 as a basis. This has vastly improved the quality and reliability of the images produced - so much so, that the bulk approach of always generating 6 potentially glitchy images, can now be slimmed down to a single awesome creation. We even added in a few new labels and backgrounds to the Avatar Generator while we were updating.

The Above and Below: Real Tales of the Wyrd

The folks over at Above and Below (www.realwyrd.com) very recently launched their anticipated System Reference Document - and they released it right here on Quest Portal!

Drawing Tools

You’ve been asking for it (I’ve been asking too!) for drawing tools and it’s here! Everyone can add drawings and shapes to any map, canvas or image to your heart’s content. Let us know what you think, and might I suggest refreshing either the browser or reinstall the mobile app if you can’t see them.

And talking of mobile app… Map Tools on the Mobile Apps

You can press the Move Tool icon next to the Headphones when in a session to access Move, Selection, Measure and … Drawing tools!
